A Terrifying Experience in a Haunted Apartment in Shaanxi Province

I had always been interested in the paranormal, but I never thought I would experience it firsthand. That all changed when my best friend, who used to be a boxer, rented an apartment in an old building near my home. He had ended his boxing career and became a fitness coach, and the gym he worked at was conveniently located near his new apartment. At first, I lived with him for a while, but eventually, I moved back home.

One day, I received a text from him, asking me to accompany him for a while. I asked him why, and he replied that he had met a ghost. At first, I thought he was joking, but then he called me with a trembling voice, telling me everything he had experienced. He said that he had seen a woman with untidy hair in his apartment, and she had disappeared after a few seconds. He was so scared that he left the apartment immediately and was too afraid to go back home.

I went to find him and found him squatting by the road. He recounted his experience to me, and I could see the fear in his eyes. I believed in the paranormal, so I took him to an antique row where we found a fortune teller known as The First Divine Calculus in Southern Shaanxi. After hearing my friend’s story, the fortune teller told us that the building my friend lived in was haunted and that he could not deal with the situation. He suggested that we go to Qinglong Temple to find a Taoist who could help us.

The fortune teller instructed my friend not to go home for the next two nights and to stay in places with more positive energy, like a shopping mall or an internet bar. We followed his advice and set out for Qinglong Temple. On the way, my friend told me that there was a couple who used to live on the floor above him, but they moved away because of strange occurrences. The man said that his girlfriend always had bad dreams and sleep paralysis after they moved into the building.

When we reached Qinglong Temple, we found the Taoist who could help us. He took my friend into a room and performed a ritual to rid him of the ghost’s presence. After the ritual, the Taoist instructed my friend to come back in a few days and advised him to move away from the haunted apartment as soon as possible.

After the ritual, my friend suffered from a long period of neurasthenia and post-traumatic stress disorder. However, he eventually recovered and moved away from the apartment. To this day, we both believe that he truly encountered a ghost in that old building. It was a terrifying experience, but it also made us realize that there are things in this world that we cannot explain.
