Grandma's Last Visit and The Shadowless Old Man

First one:

I was told this incident by my cousin about a few years ago during my summer vacation. at that time I went back to my hometown, sharing one room with him, but before that the room belonged to my grandma, who had been dead in the year of in my third year of a high school. grandmother treated very well to her grandchildren, in those I was the oldest and was her favorite one among them.

It was a warm summer night when my cousin had a strange encounter in my late grandmother’s room. The room had been vacant since her passing, and my cousin had been sleeping there for almost a year.

One night, my cousin couldn’t sleep. It was around 3 o’clock in the morning when he heard the faint cry of a cat, which was raised by my grandpa. He didn’t think much of it and closed his eyes, hoping to drift off. However, the sound of the door creaking open caught his attention. He thought it was the cat coming in, so he ignored it.

Suddenly, he heard footsteps approaching his bed. They were too familiar to him, and he knew it was my grandmother’s. He could sense her standing at the head of his bed. Then, he felt the covers being touched, first the first one, then the second and the third. He could feel a touch on his head, but he was too scared to open his eyes.

The feeling lasted for about five minutes before everything fell into quiet again. Later, he checked his cellphone, and it was already 5:30 in the morning. He couldn’t believe what had just happened.

The next morning, he asked my grandpa if he had come into his room, but my grandpa said no. Only my cousin and grandpa were sleeping in that house that night.

As I listened to my cousin’s story, I couldn’t help but feel a chill down my spine. It was eerie to think that my late grandmother might have visited my cousin in her room. But why didn’t she come to see me?

My cousin explained that at her funeral, he wasn’t able to attend. So, maybe she came back for him instead, to have a look.

That night, I couldn’t help but think about my grandmother’s last visit. I couldn’t shake off the feeling that she was trying to say goodbye. It was both comforting and unsettling to think about it, but one thing was for sure: my grandmother would always hold a special place in our hearts, even in death.

The second one

It was my cousin’s last year in primary school when he and his three classmates decided to go to the riverbank to pick some fruits after school. As they made their way home, they came across a steep crossroads beside a cliff without any grilles. It was a dangerous spot, and they had heard of many accidents happening there, with the last victim being an old man.

As they were talking about the dangers of the crossroads, they saw an old man walking towards them. He greeted them and asked where they were going. They replied that they were heading back to school, and the old man warned them to be careful since it had already gotten dark.

After a few steps, one of my cousin’s classmates noticed something strange. He whispered to the others that the old man had no shadow. They all turned around to look, and to their horror, they saw that the old man had vanished into thin air.

Panicked, they ran as fast as they could towards their school. They didn’t dare look back, afraid that the old man would be following them. When they finally arrived at the school, they were trembling with fear and gasping for air.

They told their teacher what had happened, but he didn’t believe them. He thought they were making up a story just to scare him. However, the four boys knew what they saw, and they couldn’t shake off the feeling that they had just encountered a ghost.

Years went by, my cousin heard the news that the dangerous crossroads had been demolished and replaced with a bridge.
