Haunted Nights at the Milk Factory My Terrifying Encounters with the Unseen

I don’t remember exactly when I first gained the ability to see things that are usually unseen by the naked eye. It can be both a blessing and a curse, and sometimes it makes me feel like I’m going crazy. This “gift” has led me to witness some things that I wish I hadn’t, and these experiences are why I believe that it is more of a burden than a talent.

In 2018, I started a new job as a department manager at a milk factory located in a suburban village outside of Beijing, China. On my first day, I walked into the factory and was immediately hit by a feeling of demoniac energy. I could sense that the factory was haunted, but I needed the job and couldn’t quit right away.

The first night of my night shift was uneventful. However, things changed from the second night. My coworker, Lee, who was a kind and positive person, warned me to be careful at night shifts because there were always ghosts showing up. Lee left the department around 3 a.m., and I was all alone.

Suddenly, I heard someone talking outside the department. At first, it sounded like two people talking to each other, but the voices soon became louder, and it sounded like a great number of people’s voices with screaming and groaning. I realized that the voices were not coming from humans, and I retreated to the safety of the office. I recited a set of prayers to calm the apparitions, and the sounds eventually disappeared.

A few days later, while chatting with a cleaner who was washing the mop at a sink, I received another voice going on in my ears, and I witnessed a ghost behind that cleaner. The ghost was levitating in the air with its untidy hair covering its face, and it had only an upper body without legs. This incident scared me badly.

The third incident was the most terrifying of all. I had learned that as long as I didn’t leave the department after midnight, nothing would happen. However, one night, the door to my office was opened forcefully, as if someone had pushed it strongly in the middle of the night. I felt dizzy and fell asleep again, only to wake up to the sensation of a presence standing right beside me and saying something to me. The ghost’s face was centimeters from mine, and it seemed angry as it spoke. It then began screaming, which was very sharp like razors, and I felt claws scratching on my arms and legs. Although it was painful, I couldn’t move. I woke up in fear, drenched in sweat, and discovered wounds on my arms and legs. Looking towards the door, it was slightly ajar, and I could only see darkness.

This incident terrified me, and I knew that it was a warning from the darkness. I couldn’t do anything except put the blanket over my head and stay up through the rest of the night. The next morning, I resigned from my job and showed the factory owner the wounds I had received the night before. After seeing my injuries, he didn’t say anything, just agreed to my resignation. I didn’t ask for any compensation, I just wanted to leave that terrible place as soon as possible.

After leaving the milk factory, I never worked another night shift job again. Although I still have the ability to see things that others can’t, I try my best to avoid them. I realized that this gift is more of a burden than a talent, and I hope that I never have to experience anything like this again.
